Bertrand’s professional career began in 2006 when he relocated to Florida after leaving his home country France. Along with his brother Arthur, he co-founded Vicomte-A, a high-end, sportswear and apparel company. As a specialized boutique that focused on high end men's and women's chic sportswear, Vicomte-A soon grew from its beginnings in Palm Beach, to being distributed through 60 retailers in the US as well as Nordstrom and now represented at the international level with franchise with market share extending beyond the east coast, and influencing fashion and style in France, Spain, England, Switzerland, Greece, Austria and Great Britian.
With this success, Bertrand's focus soon turned to commercial real estate. Due to his keen business sense, as it pertains to maintaining the positioning and marketing of his luxury brand, Bertrand was responsible for scouting out the best sites for various retail locations, and for acquiring relationships with sophisticated venues to host events as new products and accessories were being launched. As opportunities for business growth increased, and decisions were made to start purchasing store locations, Bertrand's strategic connections gave him an advantage when closing on the best location to further enhance his bottom line. While maintaining his initial business partnership with his brother, it is the success from this first venture, along with the acquired skills and exceptional business vision that Bertrand now brings to his full-time pursuit of leasing commercial spaces in Manhattan.
Though he has been in Manhattan for just a few years, Bertrand is very excited about his new pursuit. "Working with NYCRS has given me the chance to really understand the New York market. With my background, and my ability to relate the drive for success of an entrepreneur, along with the need to be attentive to a developing venture, NYCRS is a brilliant fit for me and my new career. They have an established reputation and enough offerings to suit most any client request."
